Other updates

3/30/21 VSN Leadership, "I do not think we will be able to get enough individuals for a BBQ and food service.  We talked about getting Jimmy Johns again for food.  I think getting volunteers for the event is going to be very difficult. Thoughts?"

3/30/21 UM Grizzly Athletics, "We are still unsure if Monte will be available that weekend due to a prior commitment. He is trying to adjust a few things in his calendar to get that weekend available!"

****** LAST YEAR: 2020 Heroes at Home & Military Appreciation OPEN HOUSE ******

Was held the postponed event on September 19, 2020 ~ 10am - 3pm at the Rocky Mountain Museum of Military History, Building T-316, Fort Missoula

  • It rained all day, but we had a GREAT time! Erick and Anton gave a brief welcome speech, Rob said a prayer, and Susannah sang the National Anthem.

  • The UM Marching Band played patriotic songs (along w/others) in the HMFM lawn and joined us for Jimmy John’s, Pepsi products, and individually wrapped cupcakes & cookies made by Terry Hale (WOW…so amazing!).

  • The kiddos (and adults) enjoyed Monte, the tank, AL train, and Cabela’s archery range.

  • Of the 27 service providers that had originally signed up to table, we had 12 show up (blame the rain / list of VSP & VOB below) – we appreciate you all SO MUCH!

  • Keely’s print of Miss Montana, Jennifer’s owls, the pistol/rifle lights, and a last minute wood flag by Dustoff Woodworking (VOB) were the big money makers in the silent auction – we appreciate all the donations for the SA, and if they weren’t claimed w/a bid, we’ll be keeping them for the next H@H & VSAP tentatively scheduled for May 2021

We ended the day with some Missoula Cruisers. Monte had a photo shoot with them. Link to the VSN photo album (the photos are public, so you don’t need a FB acct to view them):

We couldn’t have done it without the support of RMMMH & HMFM, our donors / sponsors, service providers, and volunteers, so THANK YOU...AGAIN!
