Edith Nourse Rogers STEM Scholarship for students training in high demand STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields.

Recipients will receive up to nine months of additional Post-9/11 GI Bill* entitlement or a maximum of $30,000. Eligible Post-9/11 GI Bill* students must have either exhausted their entitlement or will exhaust their entitlement within 180 days.

Eligibility for the scholarship has two paths:

•A student enrolled in a STEM program leading to an undergraduate degree who has completed 60 credit hours of their program and requires at least 120 semester (or 180 quarter) credit hours to graduate.

•A student who has earned a STEM undergraduate degree and has enrolled in a teaching certification program.

The Veteran’s Experience ~ NEW Fall 2019 Semester Course

Register for HSTA 150, section 01C, CRN 74886 (Tuesday & Thursday 9:30 – 10:50am, Room MC024, Missoula College)

Asking for help in advertising the newly-approved Veteran’s Experience class at Missoula College. It is now approved as HSTA 150 with GenEd credit under Historical (H) and Democracy and Citizenship (Y).

The course is designed to enhance general student understanding and to support students who may work with veterans in behavioral health, social work, counseling, or other fields. The course is designed for non-veterans but student veterans may benefit from the materials and perspectives offered. Course Description: Interdisciplinary, historical perspective of the veteran’s experience in American history, since antiquity. and in American society today. Examines the nature of military service, experiences of war, and consequences of service and war on veterans and their families through the study of sources from history, classical literature, literature, philosophy, and ethics.

Missoula College will offer this course for the next two years

thanks to a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
